Some may be special sizes of which we carry several, but others are standard bulbs and can be purchased at any napa. Note the three screws that hold the brush holder assembly and voltage regulator, all three are insulated. This system effectively earths the vehicle as the chassis attaches to the battery using a positive battery cable.

Depending on how the coil's internal, secondary winding/wire is grounded, it may not work quite as well if correctly grounded. Size wiring in a 12 volt system as you have in a 6 volt system. The cable is tethered to the battery at one end and the engine block at the other. Positive side of the coil, and wire the resistor inline.
